FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000)
The international certification system for the food industry for producers of food and food packaging materials can contribute to the safety of the supply chain and to a cross-border harmonization of the certification systems.
ISO 22000 is a Food Safety Management System that can be applied to any organization in the food chain, farm to fork. Becoming certified to ISO 22000 allows a company to show their customers that they have a food safety management system in place. This provides customer confidence in the product. This is becoming more and more important as customers demand safe food and food processors require that ingredients obtained from their suppliers to be safe.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is the certification that ensures the integrity of the food manufacturing process as well as compliance with food safety regulations. Assurance of the safety and quality of food is an important consideration for consumers today.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is the certification for the product to meet international standards. Its goal is to hygienically control production quality in order to assure the sanitary of all processes.
HALAL is an Arabic word that means permissible. A Halal certified product means that the product is permissible or acceptable in accordance with Islamic law. In order for products to receive this certification, they must be from an acceptable source such as a cow or chicken and slaughtered according to these laws
